2026 VBS Thanksgiving Sharing

This year's English Ministry Vacation Bible School (VBS) has come to a joyful and successful conclusion. As in previous years, the event would not have been possible without the dedication and service of many faithful volunteers. One of our key volunteers, Steve Hamilton, shared his reflections on serving at VBS:
“Blessed to be able to serve! This is my third year to be so privileged to serve the Lord in guiding all of His and your little ones. This responsibility at first made me slightly fearful of being unable to do what was needed of me. However, the joy of being able to become a teacher for VBS and guide all of these wonderful children has truly shown me that the Lord is at work in everyone and everything. All of your children are so amazing and full of joy, wonder and love of the Lord. As one of four teachers privileged to lead the games I got to engage all of your children in activities that were designed to mimic what all followers of Christ have to face. Whether it's realizing that no matter what giants may be in your life, the Lord is on our side and able to conquer them no matter how large they are or having to walk blindfolded through a maze and put your faith in the Lord to guide you through all the obstacles that may block your path in life. VBS is such an amazing opportunity to allow children to get to know whom the Lord is and how much He loves us all and also an opportunity to be among fellow believers.”
Preparations for VBS began more than six months in advance. Volunteers worked diligently to organize materials, place orders, attend planning meetings, and study the curriculum. Learning from past experience, the team communicated early with the church administration and coordinated with the various ministries and groups using the 11th floor. As a result, we were able to begin decorating and preparing the venue smoothly three weeks before the event.
Throughout the preparation period, it was inspiring to see many volunteers faithfully serving behind the scenes. In particular, several youth volunteers devoted countless hours to creating decorations and rehearsing drama presentations. Their commitment was deeply encouraging. Many of these young people once attended VBS as children and are now serving the next generation. During the closing ceremony, several youth volunteers even took on the role of hosts, confidently welcoming parents and guests. Their poise and maturity reflected the potential of the next generation of church leaders.
This is one of the main reasons we continue to invest in VBS year after year. Beyond the visible activities and programs, VBS plays a vital role in nurturing future generations of believers and servant leaders. Although the event lasts only a few days and requires significant time, effort, and resources, its lasting spiritual impact on young lives cannot be measured. Seeds of faith are being planted, relationships are being built, and God is at work in ways that will continue to bear fruit for years to come.
We thank God for His faithfulness throughout VBS 2026 and are grateful to every volunteer, parent, and child who participated. May the Lord continue to use this ministry to draw children closer to Him and raise up future generations to serve Him wholeheartedly.
